It's National Tequila Day and Matthew and Camila McConaughey are celebrating in their signature style: with Pantalones Organic Tequila − minus the pantalones.
Staying true to their tequila brand's name and aesthetic, Matthew and Camila have ditched their bottoms yet again…this time for Pantalones’ first National Tequila Day.
A new photo ad for the tequila brand shows the couple lounging by the pool wearing everything but pants. While Matthew lies on his stomach, sipping a tequila, Camila is seen sitting next to him holding a tube of what appears to be sunscreen.
"The photo is part of the brand’s 'Official Tequila Of' campaign, with this photo declaring that Pantalones Organic Tequila is the 'Official Tequila of Not Getting Burned'," Pantalones said in a statement.
Besides a new ad, Pantalones also dropped a new cocktail recipe for the occasion: the Sunrise Speed, which is a blend of Pantalones Organic Tequila Blanco, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine, and a cherry and orange wheel.
"It’s the ultimate drink to savor by the pool because nothing says refreshing like a cheeky splash of tequila," says Pantalones about the new drink.

The couple also celebrated No Pants Day
Earlier on No Pants Day in May, Pantalones said that almost all of their work in 2024 would be pants-free.
“We’re precious about our tequila, not our pants,” the McConaugheys had said in a statement. “With the explosion in popularity of tequila, there’s a level of snootiness that’s crept into the category. People now talk about tequila the way they talk about wine. While we’re all for being passionate about tequila, we wanted to remind people that, above all, it’s meant to be fun."
“That’s where the name Pantalones came from and that’s why you won’t see us wearing any," they added.
What is Pantalones tequila?
The Oscar-winning actor and his wife introduced their line of "super premium organic tequila" last year in October.
"No. The world doesn’t need another celebrity tequila," the two had said on the company's website, which also features an image of them without pants. "But goodness gracious the tequila industry sure could use a shot of fun. And that’s exactly what Pantalones is: Really good, really clean fun."
The couple, who were married in 2012 and have three children, joke that the tequila "the best thing we've made with our pants on."
Pantalones Organic Tequila comes in three variants: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo and the company says it is made with "100% Blue Weber Agave and doesn’t hide behind all those junky additives."
